Review for 'The One That Got Away,' by: Jess Dee!!

It was FANTASTIC!! A very believable, grippingly breathtaking love story!! I fell in LOVE with these two characters!! I enjoyed Lily's standoffish behavior towards Kai, especially when she elucidates the way he shattered her heart. Then Kai demonstrating the fact that he made a mistake, trying desperately to convince Lily, that she's the ONE! The scenes were EXTREMELY descriptive! And best of all, Ms. Dee used my 3 MOST FAVORITE WORDS when articulating a sordid love affair: tumultuous, traitorous, & tempestuous. WELL DONE MS. DEE, WITHOUT-A-DOUBT BEYOND A 5 STAR RATING!! Such a Seductive Read, Consumed it in 2 Days!!

I haven't read something this jaw dropping since finishing Sylvia Day's 'Reflected in You!' I've been desparately searching for a novel to rival Ms. Day's 'Crossfire Series,' and I can honestly say I've found it with 'Fallen Too Far!' It deserves NOTHING SHORT of a 10 STAR RATING!!

Between the constant bickering between Elle & Gabe, as they bait each other back and forth with the many conversations and situations bestowed upon them, causing the reader to literally LAUGH-OUT-LOUD. To finally the most sincere, titillating moments they shared was truly breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL!

 **The 'Highlander Scene' was the clincher for me, a past conversation I had with my hubby regarding an erotic novel I was reading at the time was verbatim, to this scene---I laughed so loud that strangers stared at me as though I was INSANE!  I UNDOUBTEDLY LOVE THAT REACTION when reading a really GREAT story!  >;o}~~

WITHOUT A DOUBT, THIS NOVEL DESERVES NOTHING SHORT OF A 10 STAR RATING, WELL DONE MS. ROBERT!!

Mira was first introduced in Veil of Midnight, one of my most favorite & most memorable novels thus far within the Midnight Series. Even though I've purchased the rest of the novels completing my collection from this point on; however, I definitely have some catching up to do before Edge of Dawn is released. I was also ECSTATIC to meet the EXTRAORDINARY Sarah MacLean, who has been an avid reader of romance novels since a very young age. . The conversations that we all had with her were extremely memorable, and fascinating. Ms. MacLean was tremendously down to earth, and very easy to talk to. . . She described to us her latest novel, One Good Earl Deserves a Lover:The Second Rule of Scoundrels to be released on Janurary 29, 2013 (once a cover is available I will post it). Jillian has been employed by Michael Furie as his personal assistant. Within the past seven years, she has had to run interference for him. It’s TRULY & UNDENIABLY INSPIRING, to be possessed by an alpha male with that much INFATUATION, causing the reader to stake claim on a vigilant male with those qualifications, as she seeks him out on her very own scavenger hunt.

Your novels also has my favorite elements infused within them, my 3 ‘S’ Factors = SIZZLING, SCORCHING, SEX!

"Flames Never Felt So Good! Another Euphoric Rapturous Novel by the Brilliant Ms. Lee!"

Two vast individuals with a common destiny. . .

The Yazoo song I just posted I absolutely LOVE. I remember being 16 yrs old with my 1st Freestyle Mix Tape (yes, I did say tape, not CD), and that song was part of the mix.

Now after 18 yrs it still effects me the same way as it did back then. My children enjoy it as well. My 9 1/2 month old is trying to crawl, so he scoots up in the position, and rocks his cooly back in forth to the music, then he proceeds to give me a HUGE cheese grin with his 4 teeth! It's so hilarious!

I Absolutely Adore Toni Blake's Novels!

I ADORE the whole Destiny Series, it's like coming back home from an extended stay somewhere. The characters you've created as so likable, and close to my own friends, that at times I forget I'm reading fiction. 

After reading One Reckless Summer, I bought my son (at the time he was 2 1/2 yrs old) the cat in the hat's: 'There's No Place Like Space,' book, and we had a Lunar Eclipse on Dec. 21, 2010. I woke up in the early morning, scared out of my wits end 'cause of every noise I heard, & recorded it for my son. I caught Bronchitis a few days later, but it was well worth it.

Her other novels are part of my favorites as well, Tempt Me Tonight (I enjoyed the mention of Joe & Trish in W.S.) & Letters to a Secret Lover.

I'm about 1/2 way through Willow Springs, yet Amy & Logan are driving me bonkers. So instead of getting hit with the pillow for the 3rd night in a row from my hubby, 'cause of my outbursts. I've decided to revisit the Farris & Romo clan from Sugar Creek. To learn about Giovanni Romo, it had me wondering about my own heritage regarding my Great Grandfather who came to Philly in search of work, gaining a large some of money, and eventually returning to Italy never to be seen on U.S. soil again.

Ms. Blake is an OUTSTANDING & PHENOMENAL writer, I wish nothing but SUCCESS in everything she does! And most of all many more novels making the NY Times Best Seller's & USA Today's List!

Just about done reading 'Training Tessa,' and so far it's FANTASTIC!! Tessa, Dix, & Mason are such believable characters, and the LOVIN' scenes are SMOKIN' H.O.T.!! Well done Ms. Sinclair as usually your novels are WICKEDLY ENTICING!! 5 STARS!!

"Alas, I've Succumb To the 50 Shades Series!"

***Review based on 3/4 of Completion of This Novel!!***

A family member "LOANED," this PHENOMENAL book to me, because at the time I adamantly refused to purchase it. For exactly two reasons, I don't normally read what everyone else is--I tend to be my own judge of character and follow the beat of my own drum! And the other was I extremely support all the AMAZING authors who have written Erotic BDSM Romances before Ms. James, and thought their novels were SPECTACULAR! For example: Maya Banks'--Sweet Series, Cherise Sinclair--Master of the Mountain, & Lorelei James--Rough Riders Series--specially Cowboy Casanova!  

However, when I began to read the first chapter it was VIRTUALLY impossible to cease--I was HOOKED, REELED, & DEVOURED within minutes!

I haven't read a series involving the same storyline with characters who continue their EXPLORATION into what "LOVE" might bring forth throughout all three books--since I've completed the Twilight Series 4 years ago. I ABSOLUTELY possess the exact same conviction as I do with the beginning of this CATASTROPHIC series as I did with that one!

I'm IMMENSELY satisfied that Ms. Steele is stubborn and challenging Mr. Grey every step of the way, also concerning his extraordinary WICKED activities.

I've invested an EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT to Ms. Steele and Mr. Grey, one of which I'm not ready to depart from as of yet! I'm OVERZEALOUS of the fact I truly won't have to until the final novel.

My subconscious, she's SCREAMING at me from the top of her lungs, SCOLDING and ACCUSING me of being a HYPOCRITE, repeating to me--like a broken record, "I TOLD YOU SO!" While my inner goddess is secretly scribbling down notes!

Ms. James with this novel undoubtedly you deserve NOTHING SHORT of a 10 STAR RATING!!

I'm in the middle of reading, "The Pirate Lord," and I have to say it is spectacular! Full of dramatic, insatiable, amorous scenes between Gideon & Sara, which have caused me to read every last tidbit I could before succumbing to slumber! Well done Ms. Jeffries, I'm eagerly awaiting to discover the conclusion of what has occurred between Capt. Horn & Miss Willis, if they will live happily ever after on Atlantis. Truly this novel deserves nothing short of a 10 Star Rating!!

What I've Been Reading Lately!

Still reading, "The Pleasure of Your Kiss," by Teresa Medeiros. Yet I've also started one of her other novels as well. I ordered, "Thief of Hearts," lastweek at Barnes and Nobles. The e-book was $7.99 so I decided to buy the paperback for $4.99 instead. Yes, I saved $3.00 but I really should have bought the e-book anyway, for it's been awhile since I've read a novel produced by Mass Market Paperback. Some of the pages were so light, it made it extremely difficult to read.

Nevertheless, I drudged on, and I've been overwhelemed by emotion, the perilous passion, and the unhindered ability to crave every nuance of Ms. Medeiros written word. It is extremely descriptive, that at times I had to go back and retrieve the last sentence I read. For if one unconscious thought on a different subject crossed my mind, I was utterly lost. I literally had no choice to give this novel my undivided attention, and once I did, I couldn't cease from reading it.

Ms. Medeiros reminds me of the breathtakingly beautiful historical romance authors: Hannah Howell, Emma Wildes, and Anne Stuart with their descriptive writing, as though I'm reading a sonnet.

My Top 10 Pick's For This Valentine's Day!

The Greatest of All . . . . Is To Love . . . . & To Be Loved in Returned!! By Your Family, Friends, Pets, & Etc. al . . . . Love Heals All Wounds!!

Any-who, back to the subject at hand. I've enjoyed so many novels in the past few years, and narrowing them down was truly difficult for me to do. Therefore, some numbers have up to a 6-way-tie!

Let's start the list with:

10. --- "The Twilight Saga Complete Collection," by Stephenie Meyers --- I have to give major kudos to Ms. Meyers 'cause I wouldn't have continued reading books if it wasn't for these phenonmenal novels. I was HOOKED!

9. --- 2-Way-Tie! "Whitney, My Love," by Judith McNaught --- Ms. McNaught was recommended to me by my sister-in-law, Ginger --- HUGE XOXO! I remember it was my oldest son's 3rd bday party, and I would sneak away just to read one more page. Aftering reading, "Breaking Dawn," I knew I would be able to read anything including this novel, since it was over 700 pages long!

"Wild Conquest," by Hannah Howell --- Ms. Howell's writting was immensely, artistically beautiful. I felt as though I was listening to a peaceful, spell-binding, and an unforgettable sonnet!

8. --- "Under the Blood Red Moon," by Mina Hepsen --- This was my very 1st Adult Paranormal/Historicial Romance. After reading this novel, I was hooked on reading ONLY Adult Romance Novels.

7. --- 5-Way-Tie! "Rude Awakening," by Veronica Chadwick --- This novel was my 1st Espionage, FBI Romance. I was blow away, loved every minute, and was extremely pleased that Ms. Chadwick was willing to write the herione as a plus size woman, not looking for love, but was knocked right into it!

"Moving Violations: Law & Disorder," by Lora Leigh & Veronica Chadwick --- Also my 1st collaborated novel written by two outstanding authors. When I purchased this novel from Amazon.com it wasn't any longer in print, therefore, I purchased it brand-new for $30. I'm extremely glad I did 'cause at the time I would have probably paid more than 5x's that amount, just for a chance to read it!

"Jinxed," by Inez Kelley --- 'Til this day I still believe every women should get Jinxed! This novel was beyond hiliarious. The alpha-male possessed an exuberant amount of admiration, devotion, and undeniable love, he was willing to give to the herione just by a 1st glance. It was truly inspiring!

"Tame Horses Wild Hearts," by Alison Paige --- Wild hearts indeed! When the hero and herione first meet, sparks fly off the page! It was SIZZLING HOT!!

"Their One and Only," by Trista Ann Michaels --- My 1st Menage and definitely NOT my last!

6. --- "Game for Seduction," by Bella Andre --- When I initally read this novel it wasn't even football season what-so-ever, but since the GIANTS were winning, I kept coming back to read this novel. I've read it at least 4x's, and I never get tired of reading the same scenes over and over again! The numerous sexcapades were intense!

5. --- "Veil of Midnight," and "Midnight Awakening," by Lara Adrian --- It's been awhile since I've read a novel by Ms. Adrian, but I've still collected the rest of the books within the Midnight Breed Series.

When I began reading the first novel within this riveting series, it was around the 9th anniversary of my father's death. And every year 'til that point, I would get extremely depressed, and shut out the rest of the world. Yet when I read, "Kiss of Midnight," I was transported to this fictional place where this alien-vampire race protects all of man kind and their own race from a treacherous vampire out to destroy all in his path! It was an excellent distraction. I even have purchased, "Taken by Midnight," and "Darker After Midnight," via Ms. Adrian's website (http://www.laraadrian.com/) that were signed by her. I was beyond thrilled when I received them both!

4. --- "Holly Lane-A Destiny Novel, Letters to a Secret Lover, & Tempt Me Tonight," by Toni Blake --- These 3 novels are my all time favorite from Ms. Blake.

3. --- "Brazen, Sweet Persuasion, & Sweet Temptation," by Maya Banks

I received alot of criticism and no one has agreed with me for original review for, "Sweet Temptation," but I'm sorry but I truly enjoyed this novel. The hero Micah is so tortured by his past, he refuses to let anyone in. He's made new friends when he moved to Houston, TX from Miami, FL; where he once lived with his wife, Hannah, best friend, David, and David's little sister, Angelina. Since Micah and David were both in love with Hannah, they all agreed to share her instead of competing with each other for her love. Yet when Hannah and David are killed in an accident, Micah is humiliated by the repercussions of their agreement. Therefore, he decides to leave. Nevertheless, Micah left the most important part of the equation out, Angelina. She discovers that Micah is now living in Houston, and decides to confront him and the feelings she's been harboring for him for years. But Micah isn't ready. He's ONLY willing to give her his body, but NOT his heart. He puts her through HELL, he degrades her, and yes, he pimps her out. He pushs Angelina to the point of no return. And still she never says, NO! Knowing that if she does, she'll lose him forever! I'm NOT condoning what he did, but I understand it!

2. --- "Cowgirl Up and Ride, (Rough Riders #3), Branded as Trouble (Rough Riders #5), & Shoulda Been a Cowboy, (Rough Riders #6)," by Lorelei James --- I've read "Cowgirl Up and Ride," & "Branded as Trouble," at least 4 or 5 x's. I refuse to let them go. Also another novel by Ms. James that I truly cannot refuse is, "Wrangled and Tangled: A Blacktop Novel." 

Lorelei James possess the greatest qualities for making her the MOST sought after Erotic Romance Novelist of ALL TIME, with her INSATIABLE characters-whose situations and EXPLICIT PASSION become etched into your memory. Down to earth, wholehearted family-wishing you were a member of. And above all, such HEARTFELT emotions either good or bad are rolled into several compromising storylines. Ms. James' writing is PHENOMENAL! Every single novel written by her has either received 4 or 5 stars, which is a rare commodity in itself for any author. But Ms. James happens to have that MAGIC touch in spades!!


1. --- "Blue-Eyed Devil, Secrets of a Summer Night, Again the Magic, Devil in Winter, Suddenly You, & Then Came You," by Lisa Kleypas. Ms. Kleypas is my MOST favorite Historical Romance Novelist of all time! She could do NO wrong in my book! Yet instead of continuing writing in just historical, Ms. Kleypas has been writing contempporary romances as well. First with her, "Travis Series," and now with her, "Friday Harbor Series," as well. Which the second installment of her, "Friday Harbor Series," is due to be released on February 28, 2012, "Rainshadow Road."
